Park!

Today the kids and I went to the park. We really had a nice time. It was fairly warm and the kids got some much needed exercise, and I got some time out of the house!

Breccan loved the ducks. I wish that I had thought to bring some bread so that they could have fed them instead of just tossing rocks in the water!

They were definitely hungry...they were hilarious the way they'd pop their butt up in the air. I sat and waited and waited for several of them to do it at the same time.

Breccan was 'exercising'! He'd put his hand on the ground and pop around them in circles!

Hey! I got decent swinging pictures!

So a good mom probably wouldn't have let them crawl along here because at the highest point was at least 6' feet up! But hey, they were having fun!

PS The color on all of these is off because I forgot to change my dad gummed color profile! AAAAAHHH!!!!

Fall pics

We took some family pictures for our Christmas cards this year a couple weeks ago. I tell ya what, taking family photos of your own family is exhausting!!!!!! I had the camera on the tripod, so I would set the timer, run about 50 feet to join the picture and then try to beat my kids back to the camera on the tripod...they wanted to see the pictures, I wanted to get there first so they didn't knock down my camera! It was exhausting! I got a decent picture of all four of us, which will be our cards this year, but these two are just cute of my little precious babies!!! :)

Playing with a hat!

I was playing with a new hat and window light. I think the pictures are really cute of her...not too sure of my processing though. I couldn't get the skin tones correct...at least not all the same. I may head back to Lightroom and see what I can do today!

Go Broncos!

Just a few quick snapshots of these two guys, and then I threw it together into a collage for Jery to take to work. Aren't they cute???? And...GO BRONCOS!

The kids with Grandma

Grandma spent a couple days here at the beginning of November. I found these pictures in the middle of the daycare portraits I took! (I should be working on those, but hey...family first right?) This was actually Sunday, daylight savings day, and Breccan was completely tired. He tends to wake up at the CRACK OF DAWN...so he'd been up since 5:00 and it was about 8:00 (or 9:00 non-day light savings day).

I wasn't sure if I liked the color pics or the black and white pics, so I did both!

Tennis Lessons for BayLea

BayLea started tennis lessons a couple weeks ago. Dad got free lessons with a package of stuff he was bidding on (he thought he was bidding on a compressor, but actually it was tennis lessons, 50 2009 planners, a logo design...which I need to call about...and a movers job...which came in handy!). Monday I took these pictures, and although she gets a little silly with Darius, her coach, she's actually learned quite a lot. She is hitting the ball pretty well, when she wants to. I was pleasantly surprised. It almost seems like everything she gets in to, she does well in. I don't know if we'll continue with lessons once these are done, but it was definitely great exposure for her.

There was one afternoon that Darius let Breccan play too. That had to have been the funniest thing we'd ever seen. Mom and Dad, Jery and I were there watching and laughed like crazy. He was so funny, because he'd try to hit the ball, and if he missed, he'd kick it and then chase it, and kick it again. He'd get that classic 'Breccan look' on his face...that 'scrunched up, I'm gonna get that ball' that he's perfected so well these days. But on this day, he didn't play, but he helped to pick up balls that were all over. He had a good time I think.

This little activity with the standing up rackets was an exercise to teach BayLea the overhand hit. She was supposed to run up to the net, with ball in hand, and try to use her racket to hit the ball and knock over the rackets (there were three). She did okay, although she just wanted to throw the ball at them. Breccan found those rackets standing like that totally fascinating!

Just messin' around...

Breccan has kindermusic on Mondays and so we have a little time together. Today he was sitting in Daddy's office chair next to that beautiful northern light, so of course I had to snap a few photos. He cooperated a little bit...he wouldn't smile when I wanted him to smile, or sit the way I wanted him to sit, but all in all, I think I got a few cute pictures! I think he's such a handsome little man!
I was doing The Five Little Piggies to get this laugh!

This though is his normal "the camera is pointing at me" smile!

Mom and Dad's house...

Mom and dad are getting ready to move in...or I guess they've about gotten half moved in. It's been a little hard for mom; she's feeling a little depressed. They've lived at their other house for 40 years now, so I'm assuming it would be hard.

There's lots tile and mom made the comment when I was there with the kids today that it sure was echo-y. They'll have to get themselves a few throw rugs.

I loved the shadows of these flowers.
The lights in the kitchen and dining room area. The view from the dining room area towards the front room.

The front door from the inside of the house.
The front room.

The entry way...
The front of the house.
The front deck with the Mesa in the background.
The game room in Raiders colors.
From their bedroom into their bathroom suite.
