Playing handgames with daddy

I can't remember the rhyme they were doing, but it was just so cute! I love their faces...I don't really love the salsa jar I didn't notice though! GRRRR...

Valentine's Day Party for BayLea

I got to pop in at BayLea's party too; I was a little late because I had to finish my groups, but then I headed over. I love having her at my school!

Valentine's Day Party for Breccan

I took off an hour or so from work on Thursday to go to Breccan's party (I had to rearrange groups to make sure I got them all in). It was fun. I'm so glad I went.

Meatball Stew: Make this stew! It's excellent!

frozen meatballs, heated in oven so that they're not completely frozen
2 cans (14 1/2 oz each ) beef broth (I accidently used chicken broth..worked fine)
2 cans (10 3/4 oz each) condensed golden mushroom soup
4 medium potatoes, peeled and quartered
4 medium carrots, cut into chunks
1 jar (16 oz) pearl onions, drained (I used frozen ones)
3/4 cup elbow macaroni
1/4 cup minced fresh parsley (didn't have, so didn't use)

In a dutch oven, add meatballs, broth, soup, potatoes, carrots and pearl onions; bring to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer for 30 minutes or until the veggies are tender. Sprinkle with parsley.

BayLea in the backlight...yet again!

Photobucket
The light was gorgeous on this morning and so we whipped the car to the side of the road, got out and snapped photos!

The things a Dad teaches a son...

to hit the window with snowballs!

Photobucket
Daddy went out to start the car and we started hearing "bang! bang!" and he was throwing snowballs at the window. Breccan wanted to join him... If you look carefully you can see the snowball.

Dinosaur Museum & filling out Valentine's

The kids have been staying in bed until at least after 6:00 lately so we went to the dinosaur museum to celebrate. They love this place. I'm about bored to tears, but they're having fun! We really need to get them back to the one in Salt Lake...now that's a cool dinosaur museum!

And then that night BayLea began her Valentine's for school. She was scanning down the list trying to decide who to give that particular Valentine to and I told her to just cross them off as she went so she didn't get confused...she didn't need my help any more. She remembered to cross off, she wrote neatly, she took care of who got what sticker...she's an amazing little girl!

karate time!

Breccan is taking karate. He loves it. So far he has proved to be a very good listener and is able to follow directions...at least as good as it gets for a 4 year old boy!!!

Photobucket
I love this one of him...his face is so cute!

My babies in the reflected light...

cuz I have to take these for my photography class!

Photobucket

Photobucket
Breccan posed himself here...I asked him if I could take his picture and put him next to the wall (as I was going for the reflection from the wall onto his face) and he posed himself. I love it. You can almost see what he'll look like as a grown man.

Ski Lessons

We decided to take the kids up skiing yesterday. They both did VERY well. I was not surprised at all that BayLea did as well as she did as quickly as she did. She just catches on to things like that. Breccan rocked it too. He had another little one in his group and so he spent quite a bit of time waiting his turn to ski with the instructor.

Whenever the instructor would say "pizza wedge" Breccan would fling his skis out but his arms would come up too...almost like they were attached to the back ends of his skis.
