Mexico -- Puerto Penasco

We had so much fun in Mexico. The drive was a bit long, but the kids get better at dealing with long drives all the time. We enjoy listening to books on CD with them, and even if we don't follow the book closely, they still enjoy it. It seems to work better than movies...which are only an hour and a half long, and then we have to start another one. Plus listening to books is FAR FAR FAR better than watching a movie. We also listened to lots of Stuff You Missed In History Class podcasts. Those are amazing things...high interest subjects, and the kids love it.

The last pictures on 2013 were taken in Monument Valley on the way towards Mexico. We had to stop on the side of the road and set up the camera and tripod!
And our first pictures of 2014 were taken in Flagstaff, bright and early on the first day of the New Year!

I love Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument. But I didn't take any pictures of those cool cacti!
We finally made it to the villa! It's beautiful! Mimi and Pa were excited to see us.

They made friends right off the bat!
 Yay! The beach!

The neighbors celebrating the purchasing of a new villa!!

We went downtown to shop and eat. The kids had a blast down there!

 Breccan took the above photo!

I love this photo. It's not technically good, but they were sitting there looking at each and visiting and they both were enjoying each other immensely!

 A beautiful sunrise!

 Feeding the seagulls some chips.

It was warm enough during the day to get a little wet...not full body ocean play, but a little wet! (at least for the kids).

Our last day there we had to get a few photos with the friends.
