Pumpkin Patch 2013

We went to Studt's Patch again this year, although BayLea really wanted to try the Moon Farm Patch. Next year will be her pick! We still have fun here, even though we've been here many many times.
This year, though, it was cheaper because we didn't need to buy a pumpkin! We had three we grew ourselves this year!
This big bouncy thing is great fun. So hilarious! And it feels so funny to bounce on when you're an adult!

Jery kept trying to get a picture of us without all those other danged kids in the background...don't they know when we are trying to a photo?????

 Great big slide!
And the corn maze. It was fun this year because they had a texting number you used to get clues on which way to go next. We still got lost, but I think that maybe people were hiding and/or changing the signs.
I told BayLea to run like she was terrified.
And all that runnin' turned her into a doofus!!! LOL

 BIG honkin' horse.
And back to the bouncy thing.

Bay and I love love love love love this one! It was her idea for me to take this shot!

Breccan's birthday at school and carving pumpkins

Sometimes birthday's last forever around here! We've already had his big party, but when his actual birthday does roll around, you have to do something. So we just bought some canned cinnamon rolls and made those the morning of his birthday, along with scrambled eggs, which is what he wanted. We blew up balloons and had them upstairs at Josh's house (as we were visiting Denver that weekend). We got him a card with a gift card to itunes in it, and Uncle Josh and Auntie Dianna got him a fishing bag (which you can see in the pictures as he carried it around constantly).

We had to drop by and give Mimi her present too, and snap a shot of the birthday kids together.
Then on Monday, the day after his birthday, I took treats to school for him to give to his classmates. Then they played Heads Up, Seven Up, which he has been looking forward to all week.

We also carved pumpkins! These are our homegrown pumpkins! They were perfect!

Here I had canned 4 cans of apple sauce...didn't get more apple sauce because the kids ate up my apples! The kids are waiting for the 'pop' to go off on the last one.
Then we had to light the pumpkins to see how they looked. It was terribly windy here last night, so we lit them in the house, I think they turned out good!

Happy Halloween! Pictures soon to follow of the kids in their costumes!

A Minecraft 8 Year Old Birthday Party!

The kid loves Minecraft, but there just aren't things out there yet for this type of party. So we made some!
We started out at Bananas again this year. It was fairly cheap this time because we didn't buy a package and Friday nights are $20 per person for unlimited package. So that was fun. They all had so much fun!

 Tickets galore!

We used table cloths and made the big minecraft face.

A friend made the cake...she's made all our cakes lately (for a small fee!)

A friend actually found a Minecraft poster!
BayLea got him (I paid!) a game for the wii, which he loved.
They love each other, they really do!

We got him a Minecraft jacket, which was WAY too large. I accidentally ordered a medium adult, instead of medium kids.
The Bay in the coat.
Cotton candy! Always a fun sugar rush!

Bobbing for apples was a HUGE hit...surprisingly.

The girls had to had girl water...so we had to change it.

And then we painted Minecraft Creepers on plates, and then I baked them so that they would hopefully be dishwasher safe.
That was a last minute decision...at 2:00 on party I was out shopping for plates and paint!
