More with Breccan's 'gun'

I tell ya, the kid loves to make guns out of these tubes! Today he wanted more pictures with it...

Fun With Goop!

Or is is Oobleck? Just corn starch with just enough water to get it mixed together. You can add food coloring too, but we decided that white was fine!

I would have liked to have had Breccan in some clothing, but by the time I decided to take pictures, he was already coated with this stuff! Oh well, he's a cutie anyway!

It kept them occupied for an hour or so this morning!

T-ball Game...our little hustler!

So in last night's t-ball game BayLea was one serious little hustler. She was all over the field going for the ball. Last year, if the ball came close to her, she'd hop skip over there, but if someone else got there at the same time, she let them get the ball. Not this year...she was playing shortstop in this series of pictures, and the ball was hit between 1st and 2nd base...so really she shouldn't have been there at all. But she went running over there, piled into the group and came up with the ball. I know eventually she needs to be reminded to go for the balls that are near her position, but right now, I'm happy she's getting into the game.

She's so darned cute!

More fun with the sun!

Okay, have I mentioned that I love this backlight? Well I do! Here are some more from a walk we took the other evening.

Then when we headed up to bed. I was reading to BayLea and noticed this pretty light coming through the crack in her window blinds, and so instead of kissing her goodnight, I told her, don't move...I'm going to get my camera? Surprised, anyone? LOL

More fun in the sun!

The kids were playing outside in the sun, evening light about 6:30 p.m. and of course I had to bring out the camera! I am beginning to LOVE backlight, but I'm still struggling with how to edit it properly. The editing is not consisitent.

Soon after this, it was bedtime for my kids! We have to head up before 7:00 so that they can be asleep before 8:00! They're much happier that way!

My BIG Girl!

I can't believe how grown up she is! For months she's been wanting to get her ears pierced, and at first I was saying "NO WAY" because I'd seen too many kids with infections at school. But I decided that BayLea is fairly mature for her age and would probably be fine. She deicded she was ready, and then for a while changed her mind and decided she wanted to wait. That went on for a couple months. Then this week, she says "I'm ready, Mom. I want to get my ears pierced." So on Wednesday we went to Claire to get them pierced. She was such a brave little girl. There was a 4 year old getting hers done when we got there, and I was wondering if BayLea would decide not to after watching. But no! She got up there all proud and ready. She looks really cute! We do have a few rules though...the cleaning of them for one, and then I told her she was not going to change them at all until after Camilla's wedding on the 4th of July. I figure that will give them a good amount of time to be healed before putting in something different.

Sorry about the color...let me tell ya, the color was HARD in the mall, AND there was that God aweful spotlight shining down on her! Ugh!

Even Breccan was a big boy...and he kept telling the lady, "BayLea is going to be fine".

t-ball game

BayLea had her 2nd game the other evening. She was so confident and postive! She skipped on her way into the park, went right into the dugout and out to warm up. She ran (pretty) fast around the bases (so fast she even skipped touching 3rd one time), and threw lots of balls to first base. She played first base for one inning and got almost nobody actually out, but she had fun and loved it!

She hit the ball on the first swing both times she was up.
