Oh, boy, the end of kindergarten is coming up fast. They had an end of year author celebration. The kids got to read their books they authored. BayLea was soooo cute, and her stories were great!
This story that Mrs. Bergen is reading is called My Mom is Great. I told BayLea I was going to buy this book so that she could read it every time she gets mad at me so that she could remember that her mom is GREAT!
We had a very nice day on Mother's Day, even with my sinus infection! We began with a brunch with Linda and then spent a good portion of the day at the carnival. We bought the kids wrist bands; $25 got them all the rides they wanted. It was a good move...many times they'd get off a ride and immediately says "I'm going on that one again!" We didn't need to keep track of how many tickets we had left, and how many we'd have left if they went on that ride again, and would we have enough to ride that ride? They just had fun. We bought 20 extra tickets for us to use with them.
I love the joy on their faces...
This ride was for Jery and Grandma. I didn't think my head would allow this ride.
This was some sort of fun house. We all ended up going through it. It was quite fun with all these surprising little moving parts on the ground, ending up with this turning tunnel. The kids thought it was great. We adults had a much harder time getting through it. Especially Grandma.
BayLea loves gymnastics. And today she had a "Fun Meet". I was really proud of her. Sometimes she becomes very shy, when she has to get up in front of people and do something, like in Mexico, she would not do the silly little things up on the stage for the shows. I was a little afraid that, especially on the floor routine, that she would refuse to do it. But she didn't. She did the whole thing. Good girl, Bay!!! I love you!
These next ones are from regular gymnastics practice.
Okay, they started out roller blading but soon moved on to bike riding!
I wish wish wish that I could capture how glittery she looked. The sun was hitting her and her bike glittered, her helmet, her boots. It was really pretty, trust me!
Back when BayLea had her smaller bike, she was riding without training wheels. Then we got this bigger bike and she didn't want them off. Tonight we convinced her to take them off and try and if she couldn't do it we'd put them back on. She tried...
...and then Breccan wanted to get his older, smaller bike out and take his off too...
No worries for BayLea. She took to it automatically.
Breccan practiced and practiced and he actually got so that he could pedal a couple pedals without having to put his foot down.
I love how his leg is flipping out there as he tries to take off pedaling!
Then I noticed how pretty the light was across the street and decided to try out my bubble shot again...
I was thinking that something like this would be a cool shot for the Family Connections insert (well, with combed hair and better background), but probably not. They ONLY want family shots now.
