This monster was outside our hotel. It was HUGE!

 We had a fun time at the water park...Big Surf.

 Breccan managed to 'catch a wave' and rode it almost all the way to the shallow part of the wave pool. After the wave receded, we were like "WHERE'S BRECCAN!" and finally found him in the shallow end!

 I love the Saguaro cactus, and we had to get pictures by one!

 We stopped to eat at this little diner and after looking at the stuff on the walls, the worker told us how this little cafe was the meeting place of the imagination team that put together the movie Cars. This little town played a big part in that movie, with many buildings being replicated for the movie, the owner of this cafe is the model for one of the statues in the movie, and the Cozy Cone Motel was modeled after the Wigwam Hotel.

 We drove forever to see the Four Corners on the way home, and the kids were a bit underwhelmed. Not really a lot to see! They were like "ok, let's go shop!"

Arizona Vacation

We headed to Arizona for Aaron's graduation party. It was a really nice long weekend! Here are a few shots there!

Super Moon

Well, this isn't my forte, and I took tons of pictures trying to get a good one. All I got were moderately okay images...Here are a couple...

BayLea won the 2nd grade, LOM, Arbor Day/Earth Day poster contest. We were so proud of her.  She really is so artistic! Good job little love!

Plus, this same day, she got a green slip, which is a slip saying basically "Wow, you're awesome!" from her teacher! She was thrilled beyond thrilled!

Delicious Potatoes (Seriously...they really are, even if it's a silly name!)

Everyone thinks they're delicious...even though some (my cousin Lana) say they're funeral potatoes...that's too morbid a name for something so yummy! So yes, my family calls them Delicious Potatoes!

1 32 oz bag of southern style hash browns
1 can cream of chicken soup
1 16 oz carton of sour cream
1/4 cup of chopped green onions
8 oz sharp cheddar cheese, grated
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1 stick butter melted

Topping: 2 cups of crushed corn flakes
                1 stick melted butter

Mix together all the ingredients in a large bowl. Put into a 9x13 inch pan, spayed with Pam. Mix melted butter and crushed corn flakes and sprinkle on the top of casserole. Bake for 1 hour at 350 degrees.

Someone had a birthday!

Lordy, can I really be 46? How did that happen?

Vegas Baby!

Jery and I got away for a few days to Vegas by ourselves! We had such a wonderful time, even though we miss our babes very much!!! Here are some collages of our trip.


You can't beat the sights in Vegas!

Jery golfed one afternoon and I rode along for 9 holes, but the wind that day about killed me so I had him drop me off and I sat in the restaurant and ate some yummy food!


Our last night we stayed at the Rio. Our room at the Monte Carlo was pretty crappy (think Motel 6 with a slightly nicer bed). So when we checked into the Rio I asked the guy "Could we please please have a nice room? Our room at the Monte Carlo was pretty crummy!" and he says "You will want to come back to the Rio! I just upgraded you to the Penthouse suite! OMG it was fantastic. Wish we were staying there a few more days!


We went to see Penn & Teller. They were AMAZING!


Fun fun trip. It was also fun and amazing when we got home to two amazingly wonderful kids.
