We went to Denver last weekend. We had a busy fun weekend! We went to the Avalanche Game on Saturday, on Sunday we went to the zoo, and then Mimi and Pa watched our kids while we went to the Bronco game. We had great seats for both games and we had a blast. I particularly liked the Avalanche game...we were in Row 2, right behind the goalie.

After breakfast, we took the train downtown to the Avs game.

Slam!
It was a little scary when the puck, or the sticks, or the players slammed up against the glass. It was loud! Can't imagine getting hit with any of these things!

Avs won 3-0. It seemed like most of the action, though, was on the Avs end of the ice, and our goalie did a fantastic job of protecting the net. And he has a GREAT number (my basketball number in high school and college!).

AND, here's something I didn't know...after the hockey game is over, they cover the floor with these panels and then put down the hardwood floor. Had no idea!

After the game, we hired a bike rider to ride us to Larimer Square because...well, because we're lazy!!!!

  1. What a fun trip! I have lived in Denver most of my life and still have never been to an Avs game. The pictures are great! I can't believe how much they look like something in the newspaper or a sports magazine!
