We had a great time at the Rowland Ranch. Chris is so much fun to visit...he's just so willing to let the kids try and do everything. BayLea was thrilled to death to finally get to ride a horse, and Breccan had so much fun playing with Joey. In fact, he is still asking to go back to Joey's house.
The llamas help protect the goats from coyotes and have been known to kill them.
There were tons of goats...there must be 50 or 75 of them...that's my guess any way!
Breccan and Joey.
Catie decided she wanted to try and ride the horse without someone leading her. It was hilarious. It was obvious she really didn't know how to ride a horse, since the horse was doing all the decision making! They rode around and around and around the cars in a figure 8.
Taylor got knocked off the horse when the horse decided to head into the trees.
The injury to prove it.
This is Jesus. Jesus helps round up the goats when they get out of the pen. Chris just tells him to go get the goats and off he goes!
The horses like to hang out on the back porch...
Feeding a baby goat.
BayLea caught a baby goat.
The horses on the front lawn. I've never seen a horse scratch it's ear.
Chris mentioned that sometimes there are bull snakes on the stairs of the cellar and you should have seen all the men run to check it out. No luck...no snakes.
I'm so buying one of these for my kids.
BayLea got to help prepare the horse for the saddle...yep, they're still on the back porch.
I love this picture. I wish it hadn't have been cloudy, cuz then it would have been blue sky behind them.
The horse was kind of tired of being ridden and kept heading back to the porch!
This one is getting enlarged for Breccan's room.
Joey has a little motorcycle that the kids rode. All of them loved it. I didn't get a picture of Catie riding it because she promptly rode into a ditch and wrecked.
We had a fun day. Thanks, Chris and Colleen, for letting us hang out!
Wow what a fun day! It looks like everyone had such a great time. I can't wait until Cameron is old enough to ride a horse. She just loves animals! :)
