At the last kindermusic session, Miss Susan did a Goin' on a Bear Hunt song. The kids LOVED IT! We had to order the song, and they've listened to it a kabillion times since we got it. They love the fast part as they run from the bear. And the first thing out of Breccan's mouth when it's over is "Let's do that again!"
Total fun. And I love the dramatic 'we made it' motion from Breccan at the end!

Chocolate Cake in a Coffee Cup & Swimming Lessons
Grandma sent us a recipe to make chocolate cake in a coffee cup. The kids loved making it and watching it cook.
It puffed up really high!!!
The last day of swimming lessons...
And one seriously tired dog...
She'd spent the day running around with Jack at Mimi and Pa's house and she was TIRED!!!

Mesa County Fair and a few other things!
We spent a day at the hot, hot fair! The kids had a blast. They love the rides, and the Amazon Experience was fun too!
Mimi put a quilt in the fair. She didn't win, but got a ribbon anyway!
The beginning of the rides...expensive day! Jery thinks we probably spent $80 and we didn't even eat there!
My favorite kinds of pictures...when the kids are together being brother and sister when they think we're not paying any attention...
We didn't look at as many of the animals as the kids wanted. We just ran out of time!
This goat got it's head stuck in this bucket...it was hilarious. The other goat is looking at her and saying "what the heck are ya doin'?"
The Amazon Experience. They had lots of cool animals. They all looked very well cared for. Of course, BayLea was only focused on the horse!!! LOL

Riding one of the rides (MAN, I wish I'd sit up straight!). BayLea loved this ride...but I kind of had a bellyache afterwards!
Breccan wasn't tall enough to get on most of the rides. But he was happy with cars and tractor rides.

Mimi was dying to get her toes done and invited BayLea and me to come along with her. She had to work on her quilt for the fair while she had hers done! BayLea and I got matching toes! Light pink polish with white flowers.

And I had bookclub this last week with the Kuh's...Kathleen, Kim, Curry and Kelly. Our book this time was Dead Until Dark...really not a lot to talk about, except Kathleen had some good insight. She wondered whether the reason there is such an interest in vampires right now is because society as a whole is so focused on staying young looking....
Kathleen made us an amazingly good lunch...chicken with watermelon, no less. And it was seriously yummy. However, she was being difficult and didn't let me take her picture!
I love my book clubs.

After the aquarium, we stopped off at a lighthouse. There were tide pools there too. They really were amazing to see.

High Definition Resolution Workshop Picture
