Busy, Busy Week!

So I didn't get many more vacation pictures edited because we had a busy week!

Let me recap for you! :)

Monday: dentist appointment for me (pure misery); swim lessons for both kids, dance for BayLea, dog training class

Tuesday: swimming lessons for both kids, karate for Breccan

Wednesday: kindermusic, dance for BayLea

Thursday: swim lessons for both kids, karate for Breccan, sign up Breccan for
t-ball, downtown Farmer's Market

Friday: acupunture and massage for ME! LOL

Anyway, here is our week in pictures, although I don't have any picture of BayLea dancing because I was yacking with someone. By the way, though, if you didn't know, BayLea is an excellent dancer. She's beautiful!

Breccan calls his karate, "kickin". That's what he does while he's there...kicks.

This is Breccan saying to his karate teacher, "Actually, these are my basketball shorts".

We need to teach Breccan specific body part names like calf, thigh, shin, and ball of the foot.

And then it was kindermusic with the wonderful Miss Susan.

I think Breccan was showing her some of his 'kickin' moves here.

Their absolute favorite song of the day was Goin' on a Bear Hunt. It was awesome! This is Miss Susan leading us on our hunt. Breccan especially got a huge kick out of this and wanted to immediately do it again. We had to come home, search online for the song by listening to snippets of every Bear Hunt song we could find until we found the correct Bear Hunt song, and then order it. The correct version was a Greg and Steve version. We are anxiously awaiting it in the mail.

They are around their 'campfire' here. Miss Susan's light had cricket sounds. Then they sang Kumbaya (sorry, have no idea how to spell that). Miss Susan has an amazing voice and we're trying hard to get her to my mom and dad's to record a couple songs on a CD. I was again reminded how awesome she sings when she sang the previously named song that I can't spell.

And then they made a craft. This time it was a clacker to scare away the bears!

OH, BY THE WAY, the kids spent the night with Mimi the night before...Breccan dressed himself in completely filthy clothes and put lotion in his hair on the way out the door...I normally do not let my kids go to kindermusic looking like ragamuffins. I made sure everyone knew Mimi had had them the night before! LOL!

And BayLea did her hair herself!

Swimming lessons were fun. At least it was nice and hot outside for lessons this time, which was the plan when I signed up...the last session (or close to it) of the season, and the last time slot in the day. It was about 98 degrees to 100 degrees each day. Perfect for the freezing Lincoln Park Pool.

After a confusing first day when Mimi and Pa took them, as I was in pure misery at the dentist office, (I didn't tell them what class they were in...and they didn't call names and so Mimi and Pa had to wander around trying to find a class for them...sorry!) they ended up in the same class. BayLea actually should have been in the next class up.

But they enjoyed it and had fun together in the pool. They got to jump off the diving board on Thursday. They both loved that. Breccan loved it so much that he actually got in at least one extra jump because he would get out of the pool, and if they weren't paying attention, he'd just climb right back up on the diving board.

(do you see that girl lying on the concrete back there? She's in everyone of my pictures of them jumping off the board...well, that was me back in my swim lessons days. Hated swimming lessons. I'm glad my mom made me take them, as I believe they should be mandatory for every kid, and I can swim if I have to, but I spent about half my lessons lying on the concrete when I was a kid.)

That's BayLea in that big splash of water!

So next week, the schedule looks the same with the exception of kindermusic. We're done with that now, unfortunately.
